28 September 2021 - Placement Test on line for Erasmus Incoming - INSTRUCTIONS
The placement test for Italian language courses will take place on Moodle.
for students who have external access or have received credentials with temporary password to access Moodle
BEFORE YOU START
Only if you haven’t already, change your temporary password on the platform from the link https://elearning.uniroma1.it/login/index.php (also see the https://web.uniroma1.it/cla/sites/default/files/allegati/STEP%201-en.pdf )
if you do not remember your password you can regenerate it from https://elearning.uniroma1.it/login/forgot_password.php (also see the https://web.uniroma1.it/cla/sites/default/files/allegati/regenerate%20your%20password_B2.pdf )
Store your credentials, you will need them on the day of your exam!
PROCEDURE FOR THE TEST
PLEASE NOTE: for this session, even if you have declared a beginner level (equal to or lower than A1) in the knowledge of the Italian language, to be admitted to the courses, you must necessarily take the placement test.
You have time to take the test from from 28 September to 30 September 2021
First, you must proceed with the login on Moodle platform from https://elearning.uniroma1.it/login/index.php (fig)
Click on this link https://elearning.uniroma1.it/course/view.php?id=13567 to take the test.
if you only have problems with authentication, you can contact technical support at supportoelearning@uniroma1.it indicating your Sapienza university id number (UID or matricula) , your e-mail address and describing your problem.

The entry test lasts 1 hour and a half and it is divided into four sections:
PROVA DI COMPRENSIONE TEST 1 - 26 points
PROVA DI COMPRENSIONE TEST 2 - 22 points
PROVA DI COMPRENSIONE TEST 3 - 22 points
PROVA DI COMPRENSIONE TEST 4 - 22 points
Each session has a maximum duration of 20 minutes from when you start the test, at the end of the time the attempt will be closed and your result will be sent.
To unlock the first level you must have at least 60% correct answers (minimum 16/26 points).
To unlock and move to the next levels you must have at least 60% correct answers (minimum 14/22 points).
Start from PROVA DI COMPRENSIONE TEST 1 - TEST 1 (direct link https://elearning.uniroma1.it/mod/quiz/view.php?id=409506 )
When you have finished the first session, go back to the main page https://elearning.uniroma1.it/course/view.php?id=13567 and check if the next section has unlocked. if it has unlocked you can continue, otherwise your test is finished.
Only if you have passed the first level (PROVA DI COMPRENSIONE TEST 1), in the days following the test you will be contacted for a brief oral exam with a language teacher (via Google Meet/Zoom, 5 minutes approximately) in order to evaluate your speaking/listening skills.
if you have not passed the first level, you will be placed directly in an A1 level class.
The placement test is only useful to check your level of Italian language in order to put you in the right class. It does not count as an exam: it is a placement test!
IMPORTANT: To access the courses it is mandatory to take both the written placement test and , if applicable, the oral exam.
The courses are for free, last 40 hours, will start by the first half of October in blended mode.
Your level, your class, how to enroll and how to participate in the lessons will be communicated to you in a separate email a few days before the start of the courses.
