Descrizione del laboratorio:

Si svolgono attività di ricerca sulla memoria umana, sulla psicologia della testimonianza, sulla menzogna, sul malingering di psicopatologie cliniche, sia con metodo comportamentale (pacchetti sperimentali quali e-prime, psychopy, pavlovia, qualtrics, virtual reality, etc), sia tramite tecniche di stimolazione cerebrale (TMS). Inoltre si svolgono attività di analisi dei dati (SPSS, R), di pianificazione degli studi, di formazione di tesisti e dottorandi.

Obiettivi generali del laboratorio:

L’attivita’ di laboratorio ha finalita’ plurime: a) Svolgere ricerca sperimentale su varie aree relative ai processi cognitivi umani e alla psicologia forense; b) Formazione dei numerosissimi tesisti, e di giovani studiosi con incontri sulla metodologia della ricerca e sull’analisi statistica; c)Incontri relativi alla discussione di tematiche di ricerca, alla preparazione di progetti, discussione di lavori scientifici; c) Ospita visitors, inclusi visiting professors e colleghi di altre universita’ con cui sono in atto varie collaborazioni; d) Preparazione del lavoro in collaborazione in convenzione con centri e associazioni che prendono in carico minori stranieri non accompagnati.

 

- Uso appropriato di strumenti e tecniche psicologiche e neuropsicologiche di
esame della memoria umana (misure comportamentali e neurali, per esempio
stimolazione magnetica transcranica (TMS)) in contesti differenti (i .e., immersivi)
o Valutazioni di persone con memoria nella norma interessate alle loro
prestazioni mnestiche
o Valutazioni di persone con memoria eccezionale mirate a comprendere
le loro abilità eccezionali
o Valutazioni di memoria di campioni psicopatologici in modo tale da
comprendere meglio problematiche di memoria autobiografica (per
esempio trauma, perdita di memoria ecc.)
- Valutazione neurofisiologica della memoria a lungo termine

o Utilizzo di tecniche come l’elettroencefalogramma (EEG) e Heart Rate
Variability (HRV) durante valutazioni di memoria, mirate a
comprendere l’impatto della memoria su processi neurofisiologici

- Valutazioni di memoria in contesti applicati (i. e. forensi)

o Valutazione di attendibilità in associazione alla memoria autobiografica
o Valutazione di effetti di suggestionabilità sull’accuratezza di memoria, o
outcomes psicopatologici (i.e., opinioni di professionisti su Eye
movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR))

Ricerca: a) I molti aspetti e processi nella memoria umana, incluse memorie eccezionali, memoria autobiografica, processi di recupero dalla memoria, il rapporto tra ricordi del passato e piani per il futuro, processi metacognitivi, ricordi spontanei, falsi ricordi; b) Varie tematiche connesse alla psicologia forense, inclusi studi su testimonianza, menzogna e malingering, processi di ragionamento, attribuzione di colpa, pregiudizio, conduzione di interviste in ambito forense; c) Effetti placebo e nocebo nel dolore; d) EMDR e induzione ipnotica. L’attivita’ di ricerca inoltre rappresenta la base per parte dell’attivita’ didattica.
