Cultural Heritage

In its long history, the Pietro Valdoni Department has contributed substantially to the progress of Surgery.

The cultural legacy of those who worked within it, the Directors, the Teachers and all the Staff is therefore not indifferent.

A legacy testified by both the Images Archive and the Film Archive: two funds that cover research and teaching activities from the 1960s to the present day.

The Archive of Images consists of over 20,000 photographs: original drawings, reproductions of various radiological examinations and above all photographic shots taken in the operating room or on a patient.

The Film Archive, on the other hand, collects about 200 videos (or analogue films converted into digital).

A cultural heritage of Great Relevance.
