Antonio Colucciar eceived his Degree in Medicinal Chemistry and Technologies at La Sapienza, University of Roma in 2004. He received his PhD in 2008 working on a project titled “Non-nucleosidic Inhibitors of HIV reverse transcriptase” at Rome Centre of Molecular Design of La Sapienza University. In 2007, he was two years visitor researcher at Welsh school of Pharmacy of Cardiff funded by Istituto Pasteur – Fondazione Cenci Bolognetti. In 2010 he was awarded by Istituto Pasteur – Fondazione Cenci Bolognetti of a two years post-doc bursary to work on the development of novel anti-tubulin binding agents. In 2012 and in 2013 he was granted by Dept. of Chimica e Tecnologie del Farmaco of La Sapienza University of Roma with one-year research bursaries to carry out the projects focused in the application of computer aided drug design method for the development of new drugs targeting the tubulin dimers and polymers.
In the 2012 it was awarded by the Facoltà di Scienze Matematiche, Fisiche e Naturali, Università degli Studi dell’Aquila,of the “Cultore della Materia” nomination for Medicinal Chemistry.
In 2015 he become researcher (RTD-A) at Dept. Chimica e Tecnologie del Farmaco of La Sapienza University of Rome, working on a project titled “Design of new modulators of proved neoplastic pathway (microtubule, IDO, EPAC and Hedgehog) and pathogen virus (Flaviviridae, Retroviridae, Picornaviridae). In 2018 he obtained a 2-year renewal of the RTD-A deal.
In 2016 he obtained the “Abilitazione scientifica nazionale” (SC: 03/D1 - Fascia 2) and in 2020 progressed to RTD-B focusing its reserah activity in the: appilcation of cutting edge computational methods for the design and optimization of new small molecules targeting human pathologies focusing on cancer and infections by pathogens bacteria and viruses.
since 2015 he has the analisi chimico farmaceutic e tossicologica course, for the degree course of Farmacia e Medicina.
