The most recent relevant activities are:
  1. drug design of new potential bioactive compounds
  2. the recent opening of the 3-D QSAR server (www.3d-qsar.com) useful for teaching and research.
  3. development of new protocol to extract essential oils and thir characterization
  4. application of machine learning methods to both drug design and quantitative activity-composition relationships on essential oil mixtures.

Since 2015 is in charge to coordinate the Massive Open Online Courses of Sapienza University.

In May 2016 he founded a new company, Alchemical Dynamics s.r.l., dedicated mainly to develop and application of informatics tools to the fields of drug design and agri-food.

In 2017 he achieved the national abilitation as Full Professor in medicinal chemistry.
