The Department of Clinical and Molecular Medicine (DMCM) is composed of personnel (Full and Associate Professors, Researchers and Technicians) and laboratories as well as clinical structures located inside the Sant’Andrea Hospital, a new university hospital at north of Rome.

The Department is part of the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology of Sapienza University of Rome.

The DMCM is provided of several core facilities available for different biomedical research projects with appropriate technical and intellectual supports including: high-throughput DNA sequencing, high-throughput real-time PCR equipments. cell culture facilities, confocal microscopy, cell microinjection, time-lapse confocal live videomicroscopy, laser capture microdissection apparatus, flow cytometry, transmission electron microscopy (TEM).

A PhD program in Experimental Medicine, which belongs to the School of Molecular Biology and Medicine of the Sapienza University, is also active in DMCM.

The goal of the program is to train students to become researchers with specific expertise in the experimental field of biomedicine.

The Doctorate represents a project of interdisciplinary integration in the fields of pathology, molecular and clinical oncology, molecular medicine.
