Symposium “Legal Challenges of New Space Applications”

                                    

The Department of Political Sciences of the Sapienza University of Rome and the Italian National Point of Contact (NPOC) of the European Centre for Space Law (ECSL) are organizing a Symposium on Legal Challenges of New Space Applications, in the context of the XXV International Congress of the Italian Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics (IAAA), scheduled from 9 to 12 September 2019 in Rome.
The goal of the Congress is to promote the exchange of scientific information in the Italian and international community in all areas of aerospace science and technology.
For the first time, two sessions are dedicated to Space Law. The Programme is available (https://www.aidaa2019.com/images/aidaa_general_programme.pdf). 
Sessions 31 and 32 of the Congress will take place respectively on September 9 (h. 14-16.30) and 10 (h. 9.30-13) and deal with legal issues concerning the sustainability of space activities, exploitation of the resources of the Moon, space situational awareness, space traffic management, active debris removal and on-orbit servicing.
