Erbario

The Herbarium RO functions in line with the many roles that herbaria, and natural history museums more generally, currently play in society. In addition to conservation initiatives, collection expansion, and computerized cataloging, the goals of the Sapienza Herbarium include:

• provide access to its collections for research projects, master's and doctorate theses, and annually host a number of scholars and students from Italy and other countries;
• upon request, provide materials and information to academics worldwide;
• instruct students in a variety of degree programs;
• upon request, arrange guided tours for both individual users and schools of all levels;
• take part in study days and scholarly and popular exhibitions;
• participate in initiatives run by the Sapienza Museum Pole with the goal of promoting scientific culture;
• encourage editorial activities aimed at spreading floristic knowledge.
