The e-learning system, based on the Moodle open source software and operated by Infosapienza, offers teachers and students a tool to manage and enjoy courses in addition to face to face lessons. The function of these courses, as well as the distribution of educational materials, is to create for each course a community of students and teachers for discussion, information sharing and circulation of study best practices. At present, the system contains more than 1,000 courses involving nearly 70,000 students and more than 1,000 teachers from all faculties of Sapienza.
