The degree courses of this area represent the ideal choice health profession graduates who, with professional autonomy, would like to work in prevention, treatment and the safeguarding of individual and collective health in nursing, rehabilitation, medical technology and prevention. These courses are divided into different classes:

Courses of the Class L / SNT1 Nursing, Obstetrics and health professions. Those enrolled in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medicine in this class can choose the degree course to obtain an qualification in Nursing, so they can work as health operators in general nursing. They work in public or private health facilities in the territory and in home assistance, as employees or freelance. Their activities include: 1-disease prevention; 2-assistance for the sick and disabled of all ages; 3 health education;

Class L / SNT2 courses - Rehabilitation health professions. Those enrolled in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medicine in this class can choose a degree course to obtain the skills required to work as a: Physiotherapist: health worker who carries out prevention, treatment and rehabilitation interventions independently or in collaboration with other health figures in the motor ability of the superior cortical and visceral functions following pathological events, of various etiologies, congenital or acquired; Developmental neuro and psychomotor therapist: health worker who, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary teams of child neuropsychiatry in collaboration with the other disciplines of the pediatric area, carries out interventions for the prevention, therapy and re-elaboration of childhood neuropsychiatric diseases, in the areas of neuropsychomotor education, neuropsychology and developmental psychopathology.

Class L / SNT3 courses - Technical health professions. Students enrolled in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medicine in this class can choose a degree course which qualifies them to work as a: Dental hygienist: health worker who performs tasks related to the prevention of oral problems under the supervision of dentists and surgeons entitled to work in dentistry; Orthopedic technician: health worker who, on medical prescription and subsequent testing, works on the construction and/or adaptation, application and supply of prostheses, orthoses and of replacement aids, of corrective and support devices of the musculoskeletal system, of a functional and aesthetic nature, of a mechanical nature or which use external energy or mixed body and external energy, by means of direct measurement on the patient of measurements and models; Healthcare technicians of radiology: a health professional authorized to perform independently or in collaboration with other health figures, on medical prescription, all the interventions that require the use of ionizing radiation sources, both artificial and natural, of thermal, ultrasonic energies, of nuclear magnetic resonance, as well as interventions for physical protection or dosimetry; Biomedical laboratory health technician: health care worker responsible for laboratory analysis and research activities related to biomedical and biotechnological analyses and in particular biochemistry, microbiology and virology, pharma-toxicology, immunology, of clinical pathology, hematology, cytology and histopathology.

Class L / SNT4 Courses - Prevention Health Professions. Those enrolled in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medicine in this class can choose a degree course which qualifies them to work as: Environmental and workplace prevention technicians: health workers who are able to assess on the workplace and in the environment the measures regarding the risks connected to human activities. They work in collaboration with other professionals in the sector, helping to reduce occupational or environmental risks through prevention
