MASTER OF SCIENCE IN ENGINEERING IN COMPUTER SCIENCE

English Language Course

The aim of the English language course for students attending the MS in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics and MS in Engineering in Computer Science is to provide support for the general improvement of productive abilities (speaking, writing) which may be useful to students who are supposed to know English sufficiently well to attend all lessons of the program of studies in English, and who are constantly asked to produce oral/written texts to pass examinations.

Classes

Wednsesday, 10.15-11.45 Aula A6 (via Ariosto)

Class activities: conversation on any topic chosen by students as relevant, writing practice for reports/projects students are required to produce for other disciplines in the study program, grammar focus (if necessary). Students are required to bring any material (books, articles, reports) they believe to be useful for group discussion and actively participate in the lesson.

Exam (3 CFU, idoneità)

For the final exam students are required to:

1) Send the teacher a written report/project they have prepared for any other exam in their study program at least 15 days before the beginning of the exam session (students who want to register the exam in the winter session must send their papers between October and the beginning of January; students who want to register the exam in the summer session must send their papers by the beginning of June, and so on).

2) Receive feedback (exam passed/exam failed).

3) Sign up for an official exam date via Infostud.

The “idoneità” will be registered by the teacher via Infostud. N.B. the presence of the student is not necessary for the exam to be registered; the only thing students are required to do is to send a written paper by email.
