CONFERENCES and SEMINARS - Year 2015

The Chair organises conferences, workshops and seminars in several cities with the aim to present the on-going work and results; to analyse the situation of migration in the partner countries and how they can be addressed in light of the results of the Chair studies; to devise the appropriate methods and tools to address the issues concerning different contexts.

SECOND SEMESTER

  • 29 June - 1 July - Enza Roberta Petrillo presents a paper on “Environmental Migrations from Conflict-Affected Countries: Focus on EU Policy Response” at the Human Migration and the Environment: Futures, Politics, Invention Conference, Durham University.
  • 2 July - “La gestion de l’accueil des sans-papier en Sicile”, International debate with Catherine Wihtol de Wenden, Raimondo Cagiano de Azevedo and Marie Bassi, Sciences Po, Paris.
  • 3 July - Presentation of the Chair’s programme at the Unesco Headquarter, with Raimondo Cagiano de Azevedo, Inga Nichanian, Liliana Viorica Simionescu and Konstantinos Tararas, Paris.
  • 3-7 August - Elena Ambrosetti takes part to the World Economic History Congress, Kyoto.
  • 7 September - Lecture on “European and Latin American Regional Integration” by Fernando Iglesias, CIFE Conference Room, Rome.
  • 9-11 September - Elena Ambrosetti (Sapienza Univ. Roma) Livia Elisa Ortensi (Univ. Milano Bicocca), Cinzia Castagnaro (Istat) and Marina Attili (Istat) will participate to the SIS 2015 conference with the contribution: “Sex imbalances at birth in migratory context in Western Europe: evidence from Italy”, Treviso.
  • 15-16 September - Elena Ambrosetti, Isabelle Widmer Bloss, Thierry Bloss, Giorgia Capacci participate to the Annual Meeting of the SODEMOMED Project, Rome.
  • 20 September- Graziella Caselli and Elena Ambrosetti take part to the celebrations for the 70 Anniversary of INED, Paris.
  • 8 October - “Food Dynamics. Climate Change. Environmental Migration.” Torino Unesco Chair “Sustainable Development and Territorial Management” with Enza Roberta Petrillo, Campus Luigi Einaudi, Torino.
  • 20 September-20 October - Elena Ambrosetti will be working with Zahia Ouadah Bedidi on Transition to Adulthood of youth in Algeria, Egypt and Tunisia as visiting researcher at INED, Paris.
  • 22 September, 2015 - Elena Ambrosetti and Graziella Caselli will take part to INED’s 70th anniversary celebra- tions at the Centquatre, Paris.
  • 25-27 September - Presentation by Raimondo Cagiano de Azevedo of the “Bibliothèque Alexandre Marc” at the Annual Meeting of Cife Alumni, Oviedo.
  • 28 September - Course on “Migration Analysis” led by Cristina Giudici, Faculty of Economics, Sapienza University of Rome, Rome.
  • 29-30 September - 7° Symposio Spinelli, with Fernando Iglesias, Raimondo Cagiano de Azevedo and Mario Tiberi; Salòn Dorado de la Casa de la Cultura, Buenos Aires.
  • 8-11 November - “Exposition Frontières 2015”, with Catherine Wihtol de Wenden and Raimondo Cagiano de Azevedo; inauguration and poster session with the participation of the Rome and Paris Chapters. Palais de la Port Dorée, Paris.
  • 10 November – Presentation of the Catalogue of the Expo Frontieres 2015 with contributions by Catherine Wihtol de Wenden, Raimondo Cagiano de Azevedo and Angela Paparusso, C.N.H.I., Palais de la Port Dorée, Paris.
  • 10 November – 9th Meeting of the Unesco Chair’s Scientific Committee, Paris.
