CONFERENCES and SEMINARS - Year 2017

The Chair organises conferences, workshops and seminars in several cities with the aim to present the on-going work and results; to analyse the situation of migration in the partner countries and how they can be addressed in light of the results of the Chair studies; to devise the appropriate methods and tools to address the issues concerning different contexts.

  • 18 January - Meeting of the Scientific Committee, CERI Sciences-Po, Paris.
  • 23-24 January - Enza Roberta Petrillo participates to the Italian-german reflection group on migration, security and economics promoted by IAI in the New Pact for Europe project framework, Berlin.
  • 28 January - Mediterranean Unesco Chairs (MUNCH) Meeting on “Walled cities—opened societies”, with Paolo Ceccarelli and a delegation of the Rome Chapter, Siena
  • February 2017 – Elena Ambrosetti welcomes Zahia Ouadah Bedidi (Université Paris 7 and INED) as a visiting researcher at MEMOTEF department for a research on “Recent trends of fertility in Northern African countries”, Sapienza University, Rome
  • 8-10 February - Members of the Rome Chapter present papers during the 12th edition of the Population Days 2017. AISP, Florence.
  • 16 February - Raimondo Cagiano de Azevedo participates to the Conference “Learning City and Cultural Diversity”, RomaTre Unesco, Rome.
  • 10 March - “New challenges for the European Union” with Stefano Baldi and Raimondo Cagiano de Azevedo, Saint Kliment Ohridski University, Sofia, Bulgaria.
