Mario De Felice

Biography

Mario De Felice received his Bachelor at Federico II University of Napoli in June 2009, then his Msc at Sapienza University of Roma in Computer Engineering with Network specialization in January 2012.
He is now a Ph.D. student at the DIET (Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettronica e Telecomunicazioni) in Sapienza University of Rome, working in the field of VANETs (Vehicular Ad-hoc NETwork) and Smart Cities, sponsorized by Telecom Italia. His academic advisors are prof. Francesca Cuomo and prof. A. Baiocchi, A. Bragagnini from Telecom Italia.
His research interests are in the field of VANETs, ad-hoc networks, and applications on top of them, mainly in the field of transport engineering (real time traffic monitoring, car accident detection) and multimedia (real time streaming for emergency and infotainment).
During June 2013 he was awarded with a 3 months internship at the UCLA (University of California Los Angeles) from ISSNAF and CNI.
He also collaborates with Lionbridge at Google in the web pages quality assessment and mobile geo-localization.
