Neuroscience seeds: Dissemination of neuroscience through free online video-lectures from internationally renowned teachers.
Realization of 12 video-lectures (25 min each) on the themes of neuroscience, held by eminent scientists of Sapienza University of Rome and directed to a large non-specialistic public. The selected speakers are internationally renowned researchers and excellent teachers and the lectures will be freely accessible online. The main aim is to foster interest for neuroscience as a study choice and to provide useful resources for self-education and lifelong learning. Moreover we aspire to preserve and disseminate a priceless heritage of scientific knowledge and teaching skills.
The objective of this dissemination project is threefold: 1. to raise interest for neuroscience as a study choice; 2. to provide useful resources for lifelong learning; 3. to preserve a patrimony of knowledge and teaching experience that could be lost in a few years. The purpose is to reach high school student that could be interested in pursuing a university degree in neuroscience and their teachers, university students that are about to choose their specialization field, and the general public.
