The monumental greenhouse

It is the original greenhouse, built by the Mathian Company of Lyon in 1877; it hosts an euphorbia collection, with specimens of Euphorbia abyssinica J.F.Gmel., Euphorbia grandicornis Goebel, Euphorbia tirucalli L., Euphorbia mauritanica L. and two climbing, Quisqualis indica L. and Petrea volubilis L.
Ajdacent to this greenhouse, on both sides, there are two gabled greenhouses, one of which is used for the cultivation of orchids (there are the genera Cattleya, Vanilla, Laelia, Dendrobium, Epidendrum, Aerangis and Angraecum) and of Bromeliaceae (with the genera Tillandsia, Vriesea, Aechmea, Cryptanthus, Dyckia and Guzmania). The genera Ophrys, Orchis and Serapias are cultivated outside of the Greenhouse.
