Seeds of Art
La mostra di NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti presso il Museo Orto Botanico di Roma
Cultura scientifica e design trovano una sintesi in “Seeds of Art” – evento di inaugurazione del progetto visivo “Iter in natura urbis” realizzato dagli studenti del Triennio in Graphic Design e Art Direction del campus romano di NABA, in collaborazione con il Museo Orto Botanico di Roma, Polo Museale Sapienza. Il 13 maggio, sono state presentate ventitré tavole dedicate alle piante in grado di sequestrare la CO2 dall’atmosfera che rimarranno in esposizione presso il Museo Orto Botanico di Roma nelle prossime settimane.
Nato con lo scopo di sensibilizzare i visitatori dell’Orto Botanico di Roma, “Iter in natura urbis” racconta la capacità delle piante di catturare anidride carbonica, enfatizzando la loro importanza nella lotta al cambiamento climatico. Gli studenti hanno partecipato a un workshop di visual design curato da Gianluca Folì (illustratore). Qui, sono nate le interpretazioni visive che spiegano le caratteristiche di diverse specie arboree purificatrici introdotte dai botanici Flavio Tarquini e Andrea Bonito. Poste in corrispondenza delle piante raffigurate, queste tavole guidano i visitatori all’interno del percorso espositivo. Grazie a un QR code che rimanda alla versione digitale di “Iter in natura urbis”, è possibile visualizzare illustrazione e scheda descrittiva di ciascun esemplare. Inoltre, durante l’evento “Seeds of Art” sono stati presentati i materiali di comunicazione e divulgazione realizzati dagli studenti del Biennio Specialistico in Visual Design e Integrated Marketing Communication del campus di Roma.

Seeds of Art
The NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti exhibition at the Botanic Garden Museum of Rome
Scientific culture and design merge together on the occasion of "Seeds of Art" - the opening event of the project "Iter in natura urbis" by Rome campus students of the BA in Graphic Design and Art Direction. Twenty-three figures depicting those plants that sequestrate CO2 from the atmosphere were shown on May 13; they will remain on display at the Botanical Garden Museum of Rome in the coming weeks. The project was born from the collaboration between the Academy and the Botanic Garden Museum of Rome, Polo Museale Sapienza.
The atlas "Iter in natura urbis" aims to raise awareness among visitors of the Botanic Garden Museum of Rome, Polo Museale Sapienza. It tells more about the plants' abilities to absorb carbon dioxide and emphasises their role in the struggle against climate change. NABA students took part in a visual design workshop curated by Gianluca Folì (illustrator) introduced by the botanists Flavio Tarquini e Andrea Bonito. Here, they created a series of visual interpretations to identify features of different purifying tree species. Placed near the depicted plants, these boards guide visitors through the exhibition. Thanks to a QR code that links to the digital version of “Iter in natura urbis", it is possible to view illustrations and descriptions of each specimen. The event was also an opportunity to discover the communication and divulgation materials by Rome campus students of the MA in Visual Design and Integrated Marketing Communication.
