The Map Library is open for consultation by students, researchers, and teachers. The Library contains photo maps, basic maps, historical and administrative maps, and territorial information layers.

Main activities
Retrieval, classification, and digitalisation of urban plans and photo maps from producers of maps, or from libraries and public and private map holdings.

Helping students choose the most suitable maps for their studies; teaching them how to use and interpret photo maps.

Helping teachers who need to process territorial and environmental data using GIS software as part of their research or studies.

Developing a ‘map package’ to be used by teachers during courses in the faculty of architecture.

Documentary researches and digitalisations up to an AO format; computerised processing of data and maps; production of CD-data; assisted learning related to programmes involving the management of raster, vector, CAD, or shape databases and maps.

Teachers or students with more complicated requests or special requirements need to make an appointment.

Workstation and equipment
Users: 4 individual PC workstations; 4 desks to study paper documents.
Staff: 2 PC workstations with a A0 scanner, A3 and A3 laser printer.
