About us
The SAIMLAL Department (Human anatomy, Histology, Forensic medicine and Orthopedics), was born on April 30, 2010 from the merger of 4 departments. Specifically, the Department of Human Anatomy, the Department of Histology & Medical Embryology, the Department of Forensic Medicine and the Department of Orthopedics.
The Department is located in four different buildings: the former Institute of Human Anatomy (Via A. Borelli, 50), the former Institute of Histology and Medical Embryology (Via. A. Scarpa, 16), the former Institute of Forensic Medicine (Viale Regina Elena, 336) and the former Institute of Orthopaedics (P.le A. Moro).
The institute has libraries available for students, PhD students and researchers.
