Curriculum Academic year  2021 - 2022

Course code: 28400

The Special Master of Aerospace Engineering (code: 28400) is a two-year program, open to all students having a master degree or an equivalent five-year university degree in engineering.

The duration of the course can be limited to one year for students having a master degree (or an equivalent degree) in the area of aerospace engineering. Those students, at their request and upon approval by the board of the School, will be enrolled directly as second-year students.

All courses are taught in English.

Students must take courses following a curriculum that must be proposed by the student and approved by the board of the School. The curriculum must  include at least 120 credits (CFU) and must be submitted by the student before the end of the first semester of the second year.

To prepare their proposal for their curriculum students must pick courses from a given list. The list of courses available for students enrolling in the academic year 2021-2022 is reported in the following table. A curriculum following the indications included in the table will be automatically approved. However, the board, in order to better match specific interests of the students and their previous background, can accept personal curriculum. Those personal curriculum should be motivated and will be considered by the board for possible approval (for detailed information, please refer to prof. Paolo Teofilatto, paolo.teofilatto@uniroma1.it  and prof. Giovanni Palmerini, giovanni.palmerini@uniroma1.it ). Personal curriculum option is strongly recommended to students directly enrolled to the second year.

Final Dissertation equals to 24 CFU

The minimum total number of credits required to earn the Special Master is 120 CFU (60 CFU for students enrolled directly in the second year) for both standard and personal curriculum.  The final dissertation, to be prepared with the guidance and assistance of one of the School’s faculty, is mandatory for all curriculum. The final mark for the degree is out of 110 marks (possibly with honors “lode”) and is determined considering the marks obtained at each course and the evaluation of the final exam (see final exam page).
