Researcher in Prof. Irene Bozzoni’s laboratory at the Department of Biology and Biotechnology “C.Darwin”, Sapienza University of Rome. She holds a Bachelor in Molecular Biology from Sapienza University and a PhD in Biology from Roma Tre University of Rome. She did a post-doctoral experience, as EMBO long term fellow, in the laboratory of Prof. Nicholas Proudfoot at the Oxford University working on microRNA biogenesis in human cells. She was awarded the “Giorgio Battistuzzi” Molecular Biology (from “Federico II” University of Naples) prize for MS degree and the “SIBBM” (Italian Society of Biophysics and Molecular Biology) prize for the best 2004 publication in the Molecular Biology field.Since 2008 she researches in the areas of Molecular Biology at Sapienza University of Rome focusing on non-coding RNA biogenesis and function.
