NESMOS Department is bringing together a wide range of disciplines that observe man in his physical, emotional and social evolution growth, keeping the focus on the principle that the medical science is a service to man, aimed at his physical, intellectual and emotional wellness.

In this context, all the scientific components of NESMOS focus their activity on the clinical validation of the most burgeoning scientific achievements, with specific regards to no profit themes and sustainability treatments.

The compliance to the GCP (Good Clinical Practice) International standards represents a fundamental basis for innovative testing approaches, such as the dose finding, paving the way for personalized care.

The cost-containment-saving policy linked to the clinical research expected from the application of the NESMOS operating model, play an important role in attracting  industrial investments, as well as within orphan diseases , but more than anything, attain a fundamental principle of medicine:  to make decisions that are in the best interest of the patient is the driving/guiding force for the clinician.

The Department mission is built upon a new operating model, based on the interaction among scientific research, clinical models, healthcare business models and the industry, put to use the results of the clinical research is integrating actively giving support this virtuous cycle, enhancing even more available assets.

The synergy between clinical research and  patient care  allows a fast transfer of technology and know-how to health practice: as a result, improving quality standards within health care leads to cost reduction.

NESMOS main goals count the development of new treatments and the improvement of the existing therapeutic courses.

The convergence of the scientific and clinical interests distinguish this Department, is put into practice within the educational area, where different learnings merge creating a modernization of the teaching model based on the new scientific facts and technologies know-how as well as training of brand new professional profiles. The relationship with the industrial field allow to address the training of these professional profiles identifying/individuating areas and main roles either within the public and the private sectors.
