The Department of Psychology is located in a central area in Rome called San Lorenzo. It has been created in 1983 from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. From 2010 the department of Psychology is part of the department of Medicine and Psychology. It is characterized by an international approach of the research activity and the excellence of the scientific productivity. The Department promotes and coordinates the research in different areas of Psychology, among these: general psychology and cognitive, neuroscience and neuro-psychology, neurobiology of behavior, psychology of personality and individual and cultural differences, psychology of emotions and motivations, psychology related to work environment and organizations, psychology of health, clinical and of communities.
