Program and Lessons
Academic year 2021/2022
Lessons will start on 25 February 2022 and will be held every Thursday and Friday from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm.
In order to facilitate the students, also for the academic year 2021/2022 the lessons will take place in mixed mode, being therefore allowed both attendance in presence, at the Faculty of Law, and attendance remotely, through dedicated virtual classrooms.
The educational offer of the master provides for the subdivision of the course into eight modules, each of which related to a different disciplinary sector, and at the end of which a test of profit can be envisaged consisting in the reasoned resolution of a question posed by the teachers in charge.
MODULE I: Law of Cultural Heritage
The module is dedicated to the Law of cultural heritage. The following topics will be dealt with in its scope: discipline of the protection and enhancement of cultural heritage and places of cultural interest, also with reference to the legal framework of competences in the sector; public private partnerships; historical BIM; project financing and related financial feasibility analysis; framework of international and European regulations on cultural heritage; copyright, insurance law, criminal and tax aspects; initiatives by UNESCO, ICOMOS and ICCROM for the dissemination and use of new technologies for the protection of cultural heritage;

MODULE II: Roman law and archeology - new models of research and enhancement of cultural heritage
The module introduces the most recent studies on the relationship between archaeological data and the relative historical-institutional context, envisaging new research models and enhancement of sites of cultural interest at national and international level.

MODULE III: The ancient book in the digital age: history, restoration and conservation
The module provides a historical introduction from the manuscript to the printed book. It will then deal with conservation and restoration with attention to new methods of conservation and restoration. Finally, contemporary digitization techniques will be illustrated through the structuring of metadata.

MODULE IV: European planning, fund raising, tax breaks
The module deals with the European planning, the finding of funds and tax concessions; it will deal with the methods of participation in European calls, with particular reference to the legal aspects, as well as the main fundraising techniques, from crowdfunding to sponsorship and free donation (Art Bonus) in Italy and abroad.

MODULE V: Technologies for the protection, use, management and enhancement of cultural heritage
The module deals with modern technologies for the protection, use, management and enhancement of cultural heritage (both small ones and those that can be defined as fatal attractors) in order to avoid their consumption by tourism "migrants" cultural and ensure its conservation;

MODULE VI: The criminal protection of cultural heritage and the activity of the Carabinieri Command for the protection of cultural heritage
The module illustrates the methodologies and technologies aimed at preventing and combating criminal phenomena. In particular, the activities of the Command in Italy and abroad, the database of illegally stolen cultural assets, investigations for the recovery of illegally stolen cultural assets and the Italian Task Force "Unite4Heritage" will be presented.

MODULE VII: Scientific police and protection of cultural heritage
The module explores the multiple potential of scientific police technical investigations: from forensic genetics to the 3D reconstruction of the scene. With the forensic laboratory, born from the integration of the most innovative technologies, it will be possible, in addition to reconstructing the scene, to go back in time and relive the cold case sequence, to the benefit of ascertaining the truth.

MODULE VIII: Management, marketing and communication for the enhancement of cultural heritage
The module aims to provide the main tools for correct communication of the initiatives to be promoted around one or more cultural assets. In particular, the following topics will be addressed: analysis of the different types of communication, through examples and detailed descriptions of case histories; evaluation and comparison between the means used in order to define their effectiveness; devising a communication strategy from scratch as complete as possible, from the identification of the object that is the protagonist of the action to its communication to the outside world.

Final test
To obtain the diploma, each student will discuss a thesis concerning one of the teachings taught during the course.
The students, on the basis of the interests developed during the course, will be able to choose the subject on which to work, agreeing with the supervisor teacher, in charge of the module or course treated, the title of the paper and its salient features.

Internship, internship and other activities
In the second part of the course, interested learners will be able to carry out a period of internship at organizations and companies of high competence in the sector.
