The Second-Level Master’s Degree in IONIZING RADIATION PROTECTION is a collaborative effort among faculty members from the departments of Astronautical, Electrical, and Energy Engineering (DIAEE) and Basic Sciences for Engineering (SBAI) at Sapienza University. These departments house a wealth of expertise in the field. The program also involves colleagues from other departments and the Radiation Protection Expert at Sapienza.

This Master’s program equips participants with the knowledge and credentials necessary for inclusion in the list of radiation protection experts in Italy. It includes the qualifying internship required for registration to take the Radiation Protection Expert examination administered by the Ministry of Labor, as per Article 129, Paragraph 4 of Legislative Decree No. 101/2020.

Target Audience:

Second-level graduates in Engineering, as specified in the Master’s Training Plan attached to the Single Call for Applications.

Partner Organizations:

ENEA, Nucleco, SOGIN, the Italian Higher Institute of Health (ISS), the National Inspectorate for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ISIN), and INAIL.

Admission Process:

The Sapienza Single Call for Master’s Admissions will be published soon. The application deadline is January 15, 2024. Further information will be provided as soon as it becomes available.

Tuition Fees and Scholarships:

The enrollment fee for the Master’s program is €2,500.00, payable in two equal installments due on February 15 and May 15.
