E’ indetta una selezione pubblica da svolgersi presso il Dipartimento di Fisica nel seguente ambito:a) Tematica: The study focuses on Majorana fermions (MF), possibly related to a Kitaev chain, embedded in a metallic system leading to an effective coupling and decay of their wavefunction in the metallic matrix. The candidate should investigate the effect of extended metallic states on the coupling and mixing of the MF and the effect of disorder, which tends to localize the metallic states. He/she should adopt an exact diagonalization numerical approach and compare the results with the analytic Lindbladt approach for open quantum systems.
