Sapienza Nanotechnology and Nanoscience Laboratory (SNN-Lab) is the research infrastructure of Sapienza, aimed at engaging and integrating the research activities in the field of nanotechnology in Sapienza.

It was founded in 2012, thanks to the funding of Regione Lazio and of the Sapienza University.

SNN-Lab is the core facility of Sapienza aimed at:

- Integrating multidisciplinary expertise available in Sapienza in the field of nanotechnology and nanoscience in order to create synergies between groups operating in different areas of science, engineering and medicine:

- Providing an infrastructure for research excellence in Sapienza for the design, fabrication and characterization of nanostructures and micro / nano innovative devices for different fields of application;

- Providing equipment and high-quality research services in the field of micro / nano-manufacturing, micro / nano-structuring, advanced characterization (microscopy, functional, structural) the physico-chemical properties of the micro / nano-structured materials, engineering of devices / complex systems micro / nanostructured designed;

- Creating a framework for the region and the businesses in Lazio, which meets the needs of research and technological development identified by Regione Lazio research framework.
