It has the institutional function, common to all University libraries, of fostering study, research and teaching, through the selection, acquisition, preservation and dissemination of scientific production in the disciplines of interest to the Department

PROCEDURE FOR BORROWING AND RETURNING BOOKS

The loan and return service is now active

PLEASE NOTE: Loan and return requests must be booked online through Sapienza OPAC. To book from your personal area follow the instructions in the following the link.

NILDE -DD- DOCUMENT DELIVERY (REQUEST SCANS).

In order to request a scan of a document you need, for example an article or a book chapter, you must be registered with the NILDE (Network for Inter-Library Document Exchange) network, a web-based software for document delivery service between libraries.

Institutional users can submit requests directly from home, via the Nilde users system, by logging on to https://nildeutenti.bo.cnr.it/, or, while performing a search, directly from the databases integrated with the Nilde service.

To use the service, it is necessary to register by following these instructions :

1 - connect from any Internet location to https://nilde.bo.cnr.it/register_ute.php?idbib=516;

2 - select NO at the IDEM-GARR account request ;

3 - enter a username and password ;

4 - make sure that the proposed reference library is the "Library of the Department of Planning Design Technology of Architecture";

5 - complete the personal data entry; 

6 - wait for the email confirming successful enablement.

Requests received through other communication channels cannot be processed.

OUTREACH -  PROJECT SAPIENZA BOOKS SPEAK

The Ludovico Quaroni Library joins the project of the Sapienza Library System which is involved in providing people with visual impairments or with SLD (including visually impaired people, blind people, those suffering from dislexia, etc.) with the opportunity to consult university textbooks. The project involves the realization and provision of both audiobooks and books in various electronic formats only for people with disabilities. PCTO (former school-work programme) 2023/24

The Ludovico Quaroni Library joins the Sapienza PCTO (former school-work programme) through the project Archiving bibliographic and cartographic data using Excel program, addressed to Higher Education Institutions.

UNIVERSAL CIVIL SERVICE 2023/24

In 2023 the Ludovico Quaroni Library hosts a volunteer of the UCS (Universal Civil Service), under the project FLUX, which aims to promote and to enhance the value of the documentary heritage owned by the libraries of the Sapienza Library System through the documentary digitalization. Specifically, our Library started up digitisation activities of documents of the Luigi Piccinato Fund which will converge in the digital collection of Sapienza Digital Library.
