The Medialibrary

The Mediatheque is a structure that aims to research, collect, preserve and make accessible the consultation of audiovisual documents (films, documentaries, reportages, etc.) of oriental interest.

The Oriental Cinema Archiv is of particular importance, with more than 1,700 titles and covers productions ranging from Maghreb cinema to South-East Asia.

The films conserved are all in digital format on DVD. A large part of the collection consists of films in their original language, with Italian or English subtitles.

DVDs can be requested for consultation (max. duration 3 days).

In the reading room there is a display rack with some classics and new acquisitions.

All titles have been catalogued and are searchable through the catalogue. The descriptions are currently being supplemented with abstracts and titles in the original script.
