Educational regulations
Master’s graduated in Safety, Security and Civil Protection Engineering will develop the skills and acquire the necessary knowledge to:
- Rule and manage the tools of basic sciences (mathematics, probability, statistics, physics, and chemistry) to describe and interpret engineering problems, even complex ones.
- Own an in-depth knowledge on the basic and applicative aspects of engineering in general and of safety & security, both relating to construction sites, works and infrastructures and production processes and plants, and to know how to apply them also in the context of an interdisciplinary approach.
- Assessing, addressing and solving the safety & security problems of construction sites, works sites, infrastructures, processes and plants, with regard to both the workers involved in the jobs, the exposed population and the environment, considering the technical, economic, regulatory and ethical aspects.
- Be able to support specialist technicians in the design phases of various types of works, infrastructures and systems, providing for the necessary risk analyses in all phases of design and construction, and in the choice of design and procedural solutions considering safety & security and their practical implementation.
- Use fluently, in written and oral form, at least one language of the European Union besides Italian, also regarding the disciplinary lexicons.
