On the last day of his official employment as a botanist, Maurizio Pierfranceschi is bid farewell by the Herbarium.
Maurizio joined the Herbarium team in 2000. There were two conservators and a technician at the time. He quickly got along with the other staff members, developed a passion for the preservation of the exsiccata collections, and established himself as an expert for the filing of collections.
As an artist, botany—the "science of beauty"—had to enter his life.
