Other Collections

New acquisitions of various types and consistencies such as photographic plates, films, and educational boards deserve being mentioned. In some cases, these are personal collections, such as the photographic collection of Lino Vaccari (1873-1951), but in most cases they are educational collections which were originally set up for the teaching of Botany, and ended up taking on a historical and documentary value over time. This scientific heritage, if properly restored and enhanced, may be included in the project of reconstituting the ancient Botanical Museum, dismantled after the events of the Second World War (Millozza, 2011).
