Stefano Catucci
Stefano Catucci teaches Aesthetics at the Faculty of Architecture of the "Sapienza" University of Rome. He has published writings about Aesthetics and Philosophy in the early twentieth-century Europe, especially with reference to german and french authors. His Introduzione a Foucault (a general account about Michel Foucault’s thinking and impact on contemporary philosophy) published in Italy in 2001, has been reprinted several times (ed. Laterza). With Felice Cimatti, Massimo de Carolis and Paolo Virno he is among the founders of the journal "Forme di vita" (Forms of Life), created after a series of volumes published between 2002 and 2003, including his Per una filosofia povera (Towards a philosophy of poverty, ed. Bollati Boringhieri). He has worked for the Music section of the Biennale of Contemporary Art in Venice and for the Festival “Play It”, for which he designed and coordinated the "General States of the Arts in Italy", held in Florence, October 7, 2011. He is artistic director, along with Michele dall’Ongaro, of the “Concerti del Quirinale di Radio3”. To the relationship between aesthetics and architecture he has devoted papers in journals and collections of conference proceedings.

Stefano Catucci insegna Estetica presso la Facoltà di Architettura della “Sapienza”, Università di Roma. Ha pubblicato scritti sul pensiero tedesco e francese d’inizio Novecento ed è autore, fra l’altro, di una Introduzione a Foucault più volte ristampata (Laterza, Roma-Bari 2001). È tra i fondatori della rivista «Forme di vita», nata in collaborazione con Felice Cimatti, Massimo de Carolis e Paolo Virno a partire da una serie di volumi apparsi fra il 2002 e il 2003, fra i quali il suo Per una filosofia povera (Bollati Boringhieri). Ha collaborato con la Biennale di Venezia, sezione Musica, e con il Festival Play It, per il quale ha ideato e coordinato gli “Stati Generali delle Arti in Italia”, svoltisi a Firenze il 7 ottobre 2011. È coordinatore artistico, insieme a Michele dall’Ongaro, dei “Concerti del Quirinale di Radio3”. Ai rapporti fra estetica e architettura ha dedicato numerosi saggi apparsi in riviste specializzate e raccolte di atti di convegno.
