On June 18th at 10:30 a.m. in the Cloister Room of the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering, a seminar by Prof. Gianluigi Casse, Director of the Center "Sensors and Devices - S&D" of the Bruno Kessler Foundation of Trento (www.fbk.eu), an Italian structure of excellence in research and technology transfer, will be held.

During the seminar, the technology platforms of FBK's facilities and their relevance to research and industry nationwide will be outlined, with a particular focus on nanotechnology, which is increasingly a key factor for an exceptionally wide range of industrial applications.

Prof. Casse will then discuss an important example both for the dynamism of research and for the opportunities represented by an industry still in its first stages but with very accelerated growth prospects: quantum sciences and technologies.

The seminar is aimed at a wide range of potential participants:

  • Bachelor students who want to have more information in order to make their future educational choices more consciously;
  • Students of master's degree courses in all technological and scientific fields who want to learn more about an important infrastructural reality of the research world;
  • PhD students, young graduates and researchers to deepen their knowledge of the opportunities that FBK offers in terms of advanced training, scientific and technological collaboration, and employment.

Participation, only in attendance, at the seminar may be recognized within the AAF credit (nano/nano/about/rules-info/other-learning-activities-aaf).
