• Le Biblioteche Nazionali sono espressione della storia culturale e spesso, per come sono nate, riflettono anche la storia politica delle nazioni che le ospitano. Sono, al di là dei loro specifici compiti bilioteconomici, il luogo dove si conserva, attraverso la cura del materiale bibliografico, la memoria di un popolo.
• The National libraries are an expression of the cultural history and often as they are born, also reflect the political history of the Nations that host them. They are beyond their specific tasks, the place where it is kept, through the care of the library material, the memory of a people.

• Il dialogo scientifico posto in opera attraverso i think thanks, oltre a dare dati, informazioni e previsioni ai policy makers, permette, anche laddove l'ambiente politico è autoritario, la nascita di una società in cui le diffidenze e le difficoltà vengono superate attraverso il confronto.
• Even in authoritarian political environments, in addition of providing policy makers with forecasts, data and information, scientific dialogue put in place through think-thanks, allows for the development of a society where mistrust and difficulties are overcome through the comparison among different perspectives and viewpoints.
