IUC International Urban Cooperation

The IUC program (International Urban Cooperation) is the instrument of the Directorate General for Regional Policy and Urban to promote the exchange between European cities and other continents to improve urban policy, environmental and social benefit of citizens and the quality of life.

The CITERA centre actively participates in the program since November 2018 by developing cooperation and exchange activities with university and government institutions in different Chinese cities.

Bilateral Research day in the framework of the European project IUC Asia International Urban Cooperation, a round table on the topics of Smart City and Innovation was organized on the 11th of April by CITERA coordinated by Prof. Flavio Rosa.

25 Sept 2019 Signed MoU Between CITERA of Sapienza University of Rome And Liuzhou City Vocational College facilitate long-term cooperation and exchange mechanism between the two parties, promote mutual exchange of know-how and information as well as the exchange of personnel and visits.

In the IUC ASIA Programme SAPIENZA CITERA participated at the Seventh Asia-Pacific Urban Forum (APUF-7), held in Penang, Malaysia, from 15-17 October 2019.

In October 2019, a delegation composed of Professor Flavio Rosa and Engineer Patrick Maurelli in charge of CITERA's GIS-BIM and Digital Twin laboratory were presented at the Seventh Asia-Pacific Urban Forum (APUF-7) Penang Malaysia some activities of Research.

A first milestone achieved by those activities was to launch the International Summer School in online mode BIM and GIS for digital integrated design.
