The Department Counseling Board is composed of the Director, who chairs it, by two full professors, and equal numbers of associate professors and researchers, and by the Administrative Secretary who is in charge of writing session reports; if appointed, a Deputy Director participates to sessions without voting rights. The elected members of the Board remain in charge for at least two academic years and cannot be re-elected for more than one consecutive term. 

The Counseling Board gives advice to the Director of the Department on institutional matters, and performs preliminary analyses of questions to be decided by the Department Council.
