Seminario del Dr Wilfred Fritz venerdì 13 novembre

Dr. Wilfred Fritz is Associate Professor in electrical engineering at the Cape Peninsula University of
Technology (CPUT) in Cape Town, South Africa. He obtained his doctorate in Electrical Engineering in 2011,
and received the “African-German Network of Excellence in Science (AGNES)” award for Junior
Researchers in 2012. Then, he was also invited to the Humboldt Colloquium held in Nairobi, Kenya, in 2014.
He is member of the South African Smart Grid Initiative (SASGI) and is one of the original team members
that initiated the South African Renewable Energy Training Centre proposal.
His research interests are focused on Project management, design of Waste Upcycling, Renewable Energy
and automation.
At CPUT Prof. Fritz is the promoter of several cooperation agreements with German companies and the
project leader of research activities in cooperation with national and international institutions.
Prof. Fritz published more than 80 papers of which 13 are journal article publications, 8 text books, more
than 40 Energy related publications, and holds a patent.
