Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Finance

The Course of Studies in Economics and Finance (class L-33) offers the economic knowledge, the tools of theoretical and quantitative analysis, and the critical skills necessary to successfully work in administrative and managerial careers in private and public enterprises, in organisations operating in the European and international arena, in national and international institutions that are engaged in the development and application of economic research, as well as in professions related to the finance sector, international cooperation, the tourism sector and resource management. In addition, the course offers a solid preparation for continuing studies in order to gain access to Master's degree courses in economics and finance and first-level Master's degrees. The presentation of the course in Economics and Finance. The course absorbs the positive experience of the previous course in Economics, updating it to the new requirements of the labour market. In the wake of the financial and sovereign debt crisis, the review of the course offering has added a greater focus on the problems of public and private finance to the already existing themes of economics and economic policies in the national and international spheres (including international cooperation) and those of tourism, sustainable development and the environment. The themes are broken down into different paths, designed to guide the student towards the training that is most congenial to him/her. The student can choose her/his pathway halfway through the second year, after completing the common training that will provide her/him with basic knowledge in the fields of business, economics, law and mathematics-statistics. Basic information. The training courses. After an initial period of three semesters, during which the student is provided with the indispensable basic knowledge in the fields of business, economics, law and mathematical-statistical sciences, the degree programme comprises three differentiated training paths. The three curricula offer teaching modules geared towards the in-depth study of specific areas of analysis and the training of advanced skills in the relevant fields.
