The Memory of Knowledge

The Memory of Knowledge: the heritage of Italian companies and entrepreneurs in Argentina

4 October Opening h.13.00

From 4 to 9 October Saperi & Co hosts the exhibition "The Memory of Knowledge: the heritage of Italian companies and entrepreneurs in Argentina", inaugurated last April at the Galata Museo del Mare in Genoa. The exhibition, curated by Francesca Fauri and Donatella Strangio, tells the transmission of knowledge linked to the industrial heritage of migrant entrepreneurs and large Italian companies that decided to open an assembly or production plant in Argentina. The research team collected original photographs of Italian companies in Argentina, daily work scenes and advertising images from Italian and Argentine archives. This amazing photographic anthology is accompanied by a brief history of each company in Argentina and aims to document the influence and success of Italian migrants and entrepreneurs in this country.
