Chief administrative officer (R.A.D.)

The Chief Administrative Officer (RAD, Responsabile Amministrativo Delegato) reports to the Director General and is delegated by the latter to carry out the administrative and accounting
management of the Department, and also reports to the Department Director; by virtue of the powers of expenditure and organisation of human resources delegated to them, the Chief
Administrative Officer performs all the administrative and accounting actions relating to the structure to which belongs, including actions binding upon for Sapienza vis-à-vis any third parties.
Their tasks are as follows:

  1. to draw up the annual and three-year budget proposal according to the directions of the Department Director;
  2. to take on the specific powers and responsibilities indicated in the delegation measure, in addition to those specified in the Regulations for Administration, Finance and Accounting;
  3. to participate in the meetings of the Faculty Board and the Faculty Committee by acting as a Secretary, for which they may also be assisted by their collaborators, with a casting vote in theBoard. In case of temporary impediment of the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director General, after being informed in advance, delegates another permanent technical and administrative staff member of the Department, having a level not lower than D, to carry out the functions as Secretary in the meetings of the collegiate bodies, by giving notice to the Department Director.
  4. to organise the work of the Department's staff devoted to administrative and accounting support, having heard the Department Director;
  5. to collaborate with the Department Director on activities aimed at improving the functioning of the structure, including the organisation of courses, seminars, conferences;
  6. to take any initiatives aimed at improving the administrative and accounting management of the Department.
