Family of composites for indoor use, consisting of 80% vegetable fibers and 20% mycelium, vegetative state of mushrooms and natural biopolymer, engineered to obtain specific properties and monitored during growth according to strict protocols. Specifically, the mycelium is grown starting from a pre-engineered substrate and made of agro-industrial waste and in a short time and with a scarce use of resources, it grows and covers the substrate acting as a binder and giving particular characteristics such as sound absorption. Finally, the mycelium is stabilized by slow drying and the result is stable, safe, durable and 100% biodegradable products.
