Work Groups
TEACHER-STUDENT JOINT COMMITTEE
The Teacher-Student Joint Committee is competent to:
- carry out activities to monitor the educational offering and the quality of teaching, as well as the service activity to students by Professors and Researchers;
- identify indicators for assessing the results of the aforementioned activities;
- formulate recommendations regarding the activation and suppression of degree programmes;
- report problems and propose solutions.
The Committee is composed of at least three teachers and three students, as deliberated by the Faculty Committee.
Teachers are appointed by the Faculty Assembly as representatives of the three categories (Full Professors, Associate Professors, and Researchers). Degree Programme Coordinators, Area Board Presidents, Area Educational Board Presidents, Faculty Monitoring Committee members, members of the Quality Assurance Committee, Faculty Deans, and Department Directors are excluded.
Students are chosen by the student representatives present in the Faculty's governing bodies. Students who have taken part in the Review Groups are excluded from participation in the Committee. Students who have been ‘out-of-course’ for more than a year are excluded.
The Joint Committee remains in office for two years.
The Joint Committee is chaired by the teacher of the first category with the greater seniority of service or, if this is lacking, by the teacher of the second category with the greatest seniority of service.
