Annalisa Lo Monaco has carried out research activities in Pisa, Basel, Matera, Athens, Berlin and Rome. Her main scientific interests are directed to religious life in the Greek and Roman world, to contacts between Greece and Rome, to Roman sculpture of the imperial age (numerous papers and monographs). International conferences: Athens (2001, 2005, 2014), Clermont-Ferrand (2003), Rome (2008, 2017), Oxford (2010), Seville (2015), Udine (2018), Berlin, Bonn and Tübingen (2018). She has curated important exhibitions in Rome: Roman Triumphs (2008); Rome. The painting of an empire (2009), The smile of Dionysus (2010); the series The days of Rome at the Capitoline Museums: The Age of Conquest (2010); Portraits. The many faces of power (2011), The Age of Equilibrium (2012), The Age of Anxiety (2015); Augustus (Rome / Paris 2013-2014); O jogos da antiguidade (Rio de Janeiro 2016).
