Excavations and surveys
The excavations and surveys directed by School's professors are undertaken at archaeological sites in Italy and abroad, and cover a remarkable chronological span, from prehistory to the Middle Ages, with a variety of typologies (towns, sanctuaries, necropolises, rock shelters etc.). A number of major, decennial Sapienza enterprises have been included in the "Grandi Scavi di Ateneo".
Starting from 2021-2022, 2 CFU are recognised for one week of excavation (corresponding to 50 hours, including documentation activities). In the two-year period, 10 CFU must be obtained.
