    Aims: 

    The aim of the course is to provide the tools for understanding medieval society on the basis of an archaeological reading of material data. The student will be guided to the analysis of the different sources and of the methodological tools that contribute to the reconstruction of daily life and social structures during the Middle Ages, also thanks to the help of sample cases.

    Course organization: 

    Lectures, seminars, guided readings will be used, depending on the topics and on the composition of the class.

    More: 

    The course is combined with didactic excavations, laboratories, guided tours, conferences intended to be both as an integral part of the teaching and as proposals for in-depth studies leading to a better knowledge of medieval society.
