Public archaeology
The course aims at introducing the theoretical and practical principles of Public Archaeology, a relatively young discipline in Italy, but with a long tradition abroad, where it is well integrated in archaeological training.
Social, ethical and economic aspects will be discussed through concrete examples of participatory archaeology in Italy and abroad and through the autonomous elaboration of project ideas.
A wide-ranging training of professionals in the field of study and protection of cultural heritage also requires preparation for education of the general public to promotes awareness of cultural resources and heritage preservation.
