Annoscia, Giorgia Maria
I’m a tenure-track Associate Professor (RTDA since 2015 and RTDB since 2019) in Christian and Medieval Archaeology (SSD L-ANT/08) at Sapienza University of Rome where I teach Medieval Topography and Archaeology of Medieval Architecture. Since 2015, I have been teaching Epigraphy and Medieval Antiquity at the School of Specialization in Archaeological Heritage. I mainly deal with: archaeology of the medieval landscapes of Latium; topographical transformations of low medieval Rome; archaeology and topography of war in the Middle Ages; medieval inscriptions (6th-15th century) of Rome for the corpus of IMAI (of which I am a member of the Operational Committee) and in the context of the University Project Compitare per via: itineraria epigrafici digitali nella Roma bassomedievale (XI-XV secolo) of which I am PI; excavation of the civitas of Leopoli-Cencelle (VT), of which I have been deputy Director since 2016.
For interested students, in-depth studies are planned in the Laboratory of Medieval Epigraphy that will be held in the second semester.
