    Profile: 

    Associate Professor at the Dpt. of Classics. His work arises from interests in Greek history and epigraphy from archaic to the late antique age. He studies the history and the epigraphy of Crete. On this subject he published several articles and two books, dedicated to Hierapytna (2001) and to Gortyn (2018). Since 1999 he is a member of the epigraphic team, attached to the Italian Archaeological Mission in Hierapolis of Phrygia, Turkey (dir. G. Semeraro - Salento University). He took part in a project of collaboration between the Univ. of Naples and the Museum of Denizli, aimed to publishing all Greek and Latin inscriptions from the District (2008). Since 2009 he is responsible of the Research Unit of the Italian Mission at Hierapolis. Since 2004 he takes part in the team of Laodicea on the Lycos excavations (dir. C.Şimşek) and from 2012 in the team of Tripolis on the Maeander (dir. B.Duman).
