Epigraphy and Greek / Roman antiques
Aim of the teaching unit is to give students knowledge and comprehension skills in the field of Greek and Latin Epigraphy and Greek and Roman Antiquities, that complete and reinforce those acquired in the previous grades of studies. Moreover, it will make the students able to approach orginal themes in a research context, making more complex judgments, communicating knowledge and its process, and studying the subject in an independent and self-educational way. In particular, the course aims at providing students with basic knowledges – both traditional and digital - and methodological competences for the research in the field of the Greek and Latin epigraphy, and at showing the main tendencies in this field of studies, thourgh a significant sample of case-studies. Special attention will be payed to the inscribed evidence as part of the Cultural Heritage.
